Utah Ski Resort Opening Dates 2019
Are you ready to hit the slopes for the 2019-2020 ski and snowboard season? Utah is known to have the “Greatest Snow on Earth” for a reason! Our snow is light and powdery, so much that you can blow it off your hand when it falls.
Growing up in San Diego, I personally never learned to ski until one season about four years ago. We bought a family Epic Pass in Park City and I happily stayed on one run all season; while even my 9 year old son left me there. I ventured off that run two times and wasn’t thrilled. After that season, my kids started skiing Snowbird.
My oldest son, now a Senior in High School, prefers Snowbird over Park City due to more vertical runs and more snow. My 7th grader just follows in his brothers foot steps and is excited for his own season pass this year to ski with his brother.
If you’re like me and don’t ski, there are ski programs for youth that pick them up at school and take them to the resort. Dimple Dell Ski Program for the 2019-2020 season is a great option and something my youngest took advantage of one season. A bus will pick them up at select Elementary School locations and drive them to/from Snowbird after school. Seriously, check out the Dimple Dell Ski Program 2019-2020.
No matter where you prefer to ski or board, you really can’t go wrong at Utah’s amazing ski resorts. Get outside and enjoy the mountain air and get some exercise.
