Here are some important tips to sell your house without a realtor. With home prices increasing and buyer demand strong in Utah, you’re probably thinking why should you pay a realtor? You want to sell your house for the most possible money in your pocket and the least amount of hassle, right? After all, a good agent is gonna be telling you how to prepare your house for sale and giving you a list of honey-do items to get done and how to move your furniture around to stage your house. Who needs that hassle, right? You’ve got this. You know your house better than anybody. Chances are you’ve thought to yourself what would a realtor do for you anyway, put a sign in your front yard? You can do that. Or maybe you’ve thought they’re gonna put it out on the internet. Well with the technology nowadays, you can do that for free on KSL or Zillow, right? And I’m sure you have an iPhone or something to take pictures of your house and put those out there. Buyers love pictures when they’re home shopping. As far as technology goes, did you know that technology has changed more in five years than it did for the 50 years before that? That is crazy. In 2018, 95% of home buyers used the internet to search for their home, according to the National Association of Realtors. That same report showed that 94% of buyers purchased their home through a real estate agent. And only 2% of buyers nationwide purchased their home directly from a seller that they didn’t know.
