I often have home buyers asking how I get paid when I represent them with what will likely be the largest purchase of their life. I’ve also, unfortunately, have had buyers use me to help them find a house and then use another agent to help them buy a house; after telling me they didn’t have an agent.
So, I wanted to clear up some misconceptions that may be out there about how real estate agents are paid. If you’re working with a real estate agent and they aren’t meeting your expectations, have a conversation with that real estate agent and explain what isn’t working for you.
